Paithanis are known for luxurious pure silk, intricate designs, buttas, borders and most notably, the pallu. Filled with unique and traditional motifs, the rich pallu is a shimmering sight to behold. Interweaving threads of pure silk and zari create dazzling imagery on the pallu and borders, with a characteristic oblique square design. These Kadiyal Paithanis are known to have colorful threads interlocked with contrasting borders. This burgundy saree has alternating tassels of burgundy and orange.
